Guide To Multiple City Searching...When searching timegenie.com, you can search for up to 20 cities at the same time!
Before reading this guide to multiple city searching, please first familiarize yourself with our guide to basic city searching. Multiple City Searching: The same rules that apply to basic single city searching as mentioned in the basic city searching guide apply to searching multiple cities also. Instead of entering just 1 city name, you can enter up to 20 different city names (previously, before the update you could only search for a maximum of 5 cities). The multiple city option only allows you to only search for cities. You cannot search for countries, states, provinces or territories. There is one specific rule that must be followed which is:
You can, as mentioned in the basic city searching guide, search for just a partial city name such as san instead san francisco. If you did a search for something like Seattle, WA then Seattle would be one search word and WA would be the other search word. Since WA is only two characters, it would be ignored as the minimum length for a city search is 3 characters. To get the best results then, do not enter the WA in the search. There is really no need to enter the state or province, only the city name. Proper Spelling: While the search for only one city name is programmed to catch basic spelling mistakes, the multiple city search is not. If you make a spelling mistake when searching for multiple cities then you will not get a result for the incorrect city name. The city names that were spelled correct will still get results. When in doubt, use only a portion of the city name such as bang instead of bangkok. Sample Searches: Here are some examples of multiple city searches:
You can, as mentioned, search up to 20 city names! What's New: As of March 13, 2008 the search engine on timegenie.com has been updated.
